A Breif Bio
Loretta A. Keener
I am originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma where I was raised as an only child by my Assembly of God minister parents. My home now is in the Oklahoma City area with my husband, Rev. Tim Keener. We have been married for 36 years, and have three grown children, who are married and living in the area. Together we have two daughters, Jennifer and April , and one son, Timothy.
I love being the grandmother of 6 beautiful grandchildren, four boys and two girls. My husband and I have been blessed to have the love and support of our children who have faithfully worked by our side in ministry, and in life. Of course we can't forget two other family members, our dogs, Ginger and Mr. Biggs!
I am an ordained minister, and have served in the capacities as pastor's wife, evangelist, and praise & worship minister (to name a few). Tim and I have ministered in Ohio helping to organize a new church, and have pastored, and evangelized in most of the central southwest region in the Pentecostal ranks.
With a heart filled for ministry, I have been blessed from the Lord with many talents. I love serving in His kingdom; and my love for music has afforded me many opportunities to use my talent as a pianist to play and sing for the Lord. Whether at camp meeting, convention or leading praise and worship, you will find me near a keyboard somewhere. I'm currently a member of the Country Music Singers Association in the Heartland Opry where I occasionally sings at gospel and country shows and local benefits.
My first published song was, “Anthem of Praise”. This song was chosen out of hundreds of submissions from across the United States by members of the Pentecostal Holiness. I was honored to have “Anthems of Praise” chosen for publication in their first Praise & Worship Song Book. Since then the Holy Spirit has given me several new songs over the past several years and I hope to produce my own song collection one day.
My first love is writing, and I've written poetry since childhood. I had several poems published in the United States, and in Europe. At present I'm working on more projects for publication such as devotions, articles, and books; and currently I'm working on starting a ministry blog post on-line. I have recently become a member of Faithwriters where I expect to grow more in my writing skills and hopefully find more publishing opportunities. I have ghost written one book, "Home Building Guidelines & Strategy".
At the present I work as an Administration Secretary for a major hospital, and God has surrounded me with wonderful staff to work with. More than anything I love to be in the presence of the Lord. Psalms 16:11 " Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence [is] fulness of joy; at thy right hand [there are] pleasures for evermore." KJV I'm not always serious, actually, i'm quite the opposite. I enjoy brightening someone’s day with a little laughter, or a smile!
