I have been holding back for the last several years from putting my writings out for the world to see. Fear? Yes, to some degree. Fear of others stealing what belongs to me. Fear that others will not enjoy or benefit from the things I enjoy writing about. But I believe what is in me has been given by God, and He has given his best and his all freely, so shouldn't I be free to put what He has given me and what He has taught me it out there, too?
A couple of years ago I attended a Christian Writer's Conference, and I asked the question to an Agent who spoke that year. I asked about the risks of what I write being stolen by someone else when posting on the internet such as on a blog or website. His response to me was to step out and stop higging or others will never read what I have written. Publishers surf all the time looking for new and fresh writers.
So, I am stepping out of my comfort zone. Stepping out of my security and self-made boundries. Exciting? Yes! Hopeful? Yes! Hopeful that others will be blessed by somthing I have written. Optomistic that there is a possibility that a publisher or an agent will find me and my potential profitable enough to contact me.
All that I have and all that I am I give to God and for his glory. I'm nothing without him and desire that others will find the Lord through this ministry.
